Hi guys i have just done a oil and filter change on my d2 4.0 v8. i put about 6.2litres of oil in it now ive been running it for about a week got to work today thought i would just check the oil and the dipstick is telling me its on the min. i checked when i filled it and it was well over the half way any suggestins why its on the min? i have put the sup plug and filter all back correctly. just a bit puzzled why its saying its on the min and i am on level ground too. thought and suggestions please people? thanks

When you checked it was it on the same level bit of ground ??? Any leaks ??? Checked the plugs for colour ?? Any smoke ???? Checked your water level ???

As above if it's not leaking or the engine isn't burning the stuff and the dip stick is placed fully in.. it's indeed very puzzling.

did you check the oil before or after starting the engine when you filled up with the new stuff?if the filter was empty this could be why as it will hold a fair amount of oil

How soon after switch off? some oil will be held in the galleries and rocker box, might take a few minutes to run down into the sump.

hi guys sorry for the late reply my rear door hinge snapped at the bottom so been trying to fix hehe anyway found out it must have been the oil filter sucked all the oil in there silly me forgot to fill it before putting it on thanks for the advice and info guys much appreciated
