Or does it have 2 mounts top and bottom?

Otherwise it looks like its upside down, are the bodies a mirror image of each other regards the Lucas and Bosch units?

Tbh as long as it doesn't run out of true it would probably be reyt anyway...

Yea it has 2 top and 2 bottom, the bodies are very similar, ill get a pic with them next to each-other later one.

Bloomin misfire has only gone and got fixed! twas the alternator!
but now the alternator is dead after the trip out today!

Oooo that is a lovely radiator! 3 or 4 core?!

Also, hang about, got misfire? Fitted new alternators? Then no misfire but alternator has died?

Please explain what is going on! :p

Ill check how many cores tonight.

Yea, fitted the new(old) alternator and the misfire was fixed! After a few dips in some muddy water the alternator gave up lol

Question... is there something missing from the top and bottom as there's nowhere to mount it.

Bottom would have pins and top side brackets, but you will have to get it tigged up probably.

Or you could get some stainless banding and kinda strap it in.

Is it front or rear mount?

hmm, strapping sounds alright, what do you mean front or rear mount?
The LR rad is basically the same but has some extra metal on it, is this missing it?
oh and its 2 core, but the cores are over and inch wide each!

YO

Yeah I mean are you mounting at the front original position or on the tray at the back like Ayresy?

If front mount I reckon you could just support it on some blocks at the bottom or make brackets, and then some stainless steel fuel tank banding (the stuff with turnbuckles at the end etc) to hold it in maybe.

The OEM rads have the brackets fitted that this is missing lol!

Maybe speak to allisport, they might hang the brackets on it for you at reasonable cost then you've got a double winner, and defo best end result.

:)

Tis going on the back, I'll bodge some mounts up I think! I'm cheap :p
But I'll look into the straps for sure, cheers Sam!

Had a few issues with alternators, the regulators keep dieing on me (water).
Found this - Driftgate 2000 - alternator Charge Controller, alternator Smart Regulator (buccaneer)
they cost allot but it should last a long time as I can mount it where it wont get hot and can be made waterproof easy. Then all ill have to worry about is the brush's and the diodes (diodes don't go often anywho) and i can use it on another alternator if the current one ####s up! They also have a few good features!

So, anyone had any experience with these? or any thoughts?
