Does anyone happen to know the height if the bonnet when in the open position of a discovery 4?
I’ve just realised that the height of the garage door in my new build house is 1 inch too low for the height if the D4 The garage also had one of those annoying doors that take up about 2 metres of length when open! Hence wondering if the bonnet can open when the car is only part way in the garage! I’ve got 76 inches and that’s it!

I can't even get my FL1 in my garage, and as it has an asbestos roof, I'm not messing with it.

I can't say I've measured the height of a D3/4 bonnet, but I'm sure it's not as high as the roof.

Ironic really, a Landrover is one car SHOULD fit into the garage considering the amount of times they ‘cease to proceed’ !
I’ll have to bare the weather and get outside & try it!
I wouldn’t touch the asbestos roof either. Get a few local ‘Bob a job’ boy scouts to remove it whilst you are out for the day. Unethical but unquestionably effective

There should be a section heading "Irony" in the fri gging manual!;)

I do but it would kill the art of conversation in the forum if we all figured out simple problems ourselvesPlus, my measure only measures length not height Time to buy a new one I guess
Iz u tekking the pees?
Just in case you're not, use a long bit o wood. Stand on a box or summat, stand the wood on end, make a mark at the height of the tip o the bonnet or whatever then lay it on the floor and measure it with your measure!
Alternatively turn your Landy on its side and measure it on the horizontal!;););)
Now I AM taking the pea!:);)

Did they tell you that when you bought it? may be able to claim your money back under trade descriptions.

If it’s helps, lock it into access height , roof height will then be 72 inches

sorry can’t find the height of the bonnet when opening

plus as u can only measure in length it will only be too long at one end, lol
