Duff stat?

Guess you might get some pointers when you get the head off.

Do I need new head bolts when I put it back together possibly be a duff stat I will stick another in it and change the viscous fan and rad with my spare ones it doesn't overheat when ticking over sit all day on tick over temp at middle

New head bolts would be good. And new cam bolt, not totally needed but better safe than sorry. You will need several special tools.

What special tools do I need wammers I have the cam and flywheel locking tools what else is needed

Top chain tensioner retractor and pin to hold tensioner back. Angle gauge for head bolts. Torque wrench. Gaskets.

A good man always knows his limitations. Lots would bite off more than they can chew and cock it up.

Not 100% but going to try a different stat viscous fan and rad if it does it again then I think it most likely to be the head it ticks over great temp gauge sits in the middle it will sit like that for hours no problem I was driving it around for over two hours before it boiled

From my bitter experience ,have the head pressure tested ,even the one in the garage before it goes on. I had my valves vacuum checked for sealing .Make sure you use a quality head gasket loads of cheap ones about
best of luck

You can bet everything will be checked and double checked just to make sure it doesnt happen again

I agree, head gasket quality is a serious must!! It's a lot of work to get to the point were you realise the gasket is duff!!!
good luck. ;)
