A little bit of recce-ing done this arvo ...one lane at Wheal Rose that Mart said turned into a footpath was kinda right , the farmer had cut the hedges back as far as he needed to get to his fields , then the remaining path had just grown over to a single track ..we took the bow saw and loppers to it , but its still tight and very scratchy at the last bit , only due to brambles , but with a bit of trimming back , it's passable , Betsy took a bit of a hit scratch wise ..
Then down to Porthtowan , the eastern side BOAT is a dead end, some knob had dumped tyres in the lane , we got there just as another driver and two walkers were clearing them off the path , but anyway tis a dead end , the western side on the other hand is a lovely cliff top lane down into PT , says unsuitable for motors , but is defo a boat , bit axle twisty , but the view is superb.
so will have to amend the route on some sections , get the lane cleared out a bit more at Wheal Rose , then take a good look at the middle section Poldice Etc ...we have got several options along that stretch , so shouldn't be too diffecult to find a way through.
