yeh its another 1 of those things ive now got to get round too  apart from this its the only battle scar she came out with!
dont want to take it completely off for the mo as my driving on my way to work some mornings is prob described as "enthusiastic"

Can't lie to you mate they do drive more controllably on the road with sway bars fitted.

I have heard of the end links on anti roll bars flipping over when at extremes so one will be up and the other down.

would you believe it! thats exactly whats happened! could noticably see there was somthing not right but as soon as i read this i knew it was that!, just didnt notice it .....so which way round are they supposed to be? :p

the bar is supposed to be under the axle and then the link goes up to the axle mount.

the idea is that the link can rotate when the axle drops, so that it allows extra travel for the axle, kind of like the same principle as a drop shackle for a leaf spring, cars dont have shackles normally cos they dont need the axle drop like a 4x4.

anyway when you go greenlaning and drive down stanage in a standard car you are liable to get so much articulation that the roll bar cant handle it and the link has to pop round the other way!

either take the bars off altogether, or loosen one of the link nuts, move the link round the correct way and slam it together again.

somewhat annoyingly i dont think there is any way around this problem!

Hello folks :)

Urm, just wondering, would any of the 'Derbyshire Laners' be interested in a trip to Parkwood 4x4?

Next one is 11th March.

Just an idea, I don't do PnP much but sometimes I just get the urge.

Would be good to get a few noobs stuck aswell then we can all play with our winches again :D

Anyway, just an idea, post your thoughts :)

Cheers!
