His knee?you still got it?
anything like mine and they went to queen and countryHis knee?
I'd love airbags instead of knees. His knee?
Yeah, I get what you're saying but canbus is pretty simple really. As long as you approach it logically and break it down in sensible steps. Having a bus analyser helps but it's far from essential.Having so many things connected on a common BUS makes life difficult, it's often not possible to see the cause of the problem on diagnostics if the BUS is held down for example. Look at the LCM problems, ignition switch problems the chaos that can be caused by a HID failure, I could go on and on and on.
Yes, it will be available in 2-3 weeks.you still got it?
Il slap a set of coils on for 50 midget gemsI'd love airbags instead of knees.
Yes, this is the one with the jag Ajv8 and Ford electrics. Totally different system to the earlier BMW models. So is this a later Ford model?
I am still coming to terms with setting the mixture with a wee black box rather than a screwdriver and mark one earhole
Wonder if they keep them all in the storesanything like mine and they went to queen and country
A bad earth somewhere on a non can bus vehicle can throw allsorts at you and be a pig to find.Having so many things connected on a common BUS makes life difficult, it's often not possible to see the cause of the problem on diagnostics if the BUS is held down for example. Just an insight on the canbus, mine threw a right hissy a couple of months ago. suspension would not rise or lower and the sun roof would'nt open. Turned out there was a loose wire in the rear light unit for the brake lights !!! rewired and all was ok. Work that one out when your stuck in the middle of no where.
hey will defo go with the free bit as for you oakey those electrics are terrifying and will fry the old brain matter
OK
Tempting
Which one do you need to take the body off to do anything?
A bad earth on a light will not affect the suspension or any other critical system on a non CAN BUS vehicle. The system is a joke interconnecting critical and non critical systems so that a minor problem CAN cause major issues.A bad earth somewhere on a non can bus vehicle can throw allsorts at you and be a pig to find.
Thing is, people are, understandably, scared of canbus because they're not used to it.
However, it is a fairly simple system in essence and with the right kit and knowledge, it can actually be far easier to solve issues as you often don't need to trace wiring from one end of the car to the other.
As said earlier, later system designs are far more fault tolerant and short of a dead short on the network will often ride through many errors.
So, when I lost headlights in the middle of Germany and couldn't turn off the engine on the p38 all caused by a corroded earth that was my imagination was it?A bad earth on a light will not affect the suspension or any other critical system on a non CAN BUS vehicle. Perhaps that's why it's called CAN bus because if it CAN it will cause problems
That's on a battery not a CAN bus.There’s always a positive
Bad maintenance of an old car. At least the engine was running so you could drive it.So, when I lost headlights in the middle of Germany and couldn't turn off the engine on the p38 all caused by a corroded earth that was my imagination was it?
