Hello all, do defender roofs have drain holes before doors, its just im getting loads of water coming down my side windows next to the bulkhead when it rains like a stream lol ive got 2 drain hole in the rear corners, has anyone drilled holes in roof channel to stop getting soaked,if so where at thanks.

hi if there was holes in mine there blocked too,is there any reason why, if i made holes on both side before the doors do you think it would stop all water flooding me out lol.

I very much doubt the drain holes are any problem - water would just overflow over the sides. It will almost certainly be water entering from alpine windows, screen hinges, roof seams......pouring out of internal gutter down the screen when it runs forward. Join the club..... I'm aiming for the alpine seals next but hold out very little hope! :D

I have the same problem, its just one of the things I have never got around to fixing. I have left work dry in the evening but arrive home with a soaked right leg more than once

Hi im not getting wet on the inside of defender its bone dry,its when it rains the gutter on roof fills up quick with water and i get like a flowing tap, stream of water on the outsides of both side windows so when i stop and get out i get soaked, ive only got 2 drain holes at the back should there be more holes on the sides thanks.

My 1994 90 has slots all along the channel on both sides, but really doesnt seem to do much- still get wet when opening the door!
