Hello. This is my first post so please be nice (long time lurker!).

I've just sold my Freelander 2 (2011) and bought a Disco Sport PHEV. I'm looking to install the two Nextbase dash cams I had in my Freelander in my new car, but have been told by Halfords that they don't install dash cams in hybrid vehicles (no reasoning given other than it's caused problems in the past).

I've had a look online and can't see any information about dash cams not being suitable for hybrids? Is anyone aware of any reasons why they can't be hard wired into to the fuses like normal? My knowledge of hybrids is pretty limited!

Am keen to double check there's no reason not to do it before I attempt it? Has anyone tried it in the Disco Sport PHEV?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

It's a car, so a car dash camera will fit.
Why bother with Halfords, just fit it yourself.

If its got a fag lighter or power socket, then use that as the supply, at least the car will see where the power is going.

I have a Toyota RAV4 hybrid with 2 next base cameras in it no problem at all work well.
But I prefer My Disco, the boss likes Toyota.

I have one in my CH-R and have done for 3 almost 3 years now. It’s a hybrid and I fitted it with one of those fused power take off you can plug into a fusebox.

why you would pay halfords for fitting of anything is beyond me lol
