Why not buy a scrapper, get it running and tart it up, pack it with explosives and a remote detonator and lie in wait for the theiving scum. Let them take it away and then blow them up.:D

now thats temptein, dispose of gaylanders would be good but noone nicks em...:D

gayngies are nearly as bad as gaylanders anyways :D:D:D:D

yep but its deependers that get nicked cos they is easys.

No one in there right mind would nick a 2 door rangie, where the fook ya gunna sell that where as a defender can be made into another over night.

I sold me series because of this fact and did some resarch on theft before purchasing another laMDY.

THE OLD RANGIE CLASSIC IS THE LEAST STOLEN LANDY EVER.

cheaper to insure because of this fact too.

In my cozy lil' place I've got a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Karimojong warrior with his spear, a .375 H&H, a .400 double rifle, and quite an assortment of sharp and/or blunt objects.

Never got a problem with thieves... :D

But one of these days I'm going to install the tracker/immobilizer that has been on my desk for a year or so. Can't take all my toys along when I go to town!

I'm considering modifying the wiring loom so it looses live and earths, i'm also considering a fuel cut off solenoid in an armored box with shear bolts.
and an alarm

The things people will do...some waster tried to get in my landy a few days ago whilst everyone was sound asleep...lever marks round the doors and so on. Quite obviously an opportunist as anyone with any sense knows how easy it is to get into a Series. But my question is this...why the heck break into it? I have nothing on show, there is quite obviously nothing hidden...and making a get-away in a Series Land Rover? I would hear it starting up, if they manages to get past the hidden isolator and its a bugger to start when cold if you don't know it well anyway - and I would catch it up on my pedal bike by the time they did a 30 point turn to get out of my narrow street. What? Its not really worth anything anyway! What is the point?

Probably for some practice and a bit of fun drivin' through the fields;)

I've just been doing some research, are these any good?
LAND ROVER DEFENDER SECURITY PEDAL LOCKS | eBay

also, as someone was saying an IP rated steel box with your electrics running through and a few heavy duty relays should slow them down a bit. its not that difficult to make yourself a keypad entry system now to unlock said system (its just waterproofing it for when you want to play i should imagine although IP 67 should have that covered)

I think those clutch systems seem to be a good solution, or possibly putting a similar device on your handbrake?

Siting in a garage with an abloy lock on the door. The garage is in a barraks with a honking big fence with razor wire, car park has CCTV so dose the one road in and out, armed guard on the gate and armed roving patrols. Something tells me it is safe.

True to mimamise it going when out there is a few things I have done the big one is a tracker.
Was thinking of rigging an old mobile to a fuel cut off switch added to that would be some smoke to fill the cab. Just a few ideas

Probably because you'd get a longer sentence than the scroats trying to nick the Landy. :D

In the uk we live in where the criminal has more rights than the victim that dose not surprise me one bit. But non toxic smoke may work as that would get some unwanted attention to the Thieving git.
