customs exempt as its ex military, no need for inspections either as its cleared for export and on a civvy plate
shipping I've budgeted a grand for which is more than enough

no use for any lr application as it would put the front axle overweight and no room for a transfer box

But how much do you want for it as Ive a old f350 needing some diesel power:D

Needs to be spot less. No dirt, or grass/weeds, mold or bugs, if any of them are there in inspection on UK soil, a hefty cleaning and inspection fees before release. what do you figure for transporting from the docks to your place?

To Australia maybe, not the UK.

That is not what was said/given to us about shipping our stuff to the UK. Had to be clean, dirt free, as well as mold and bugs from what the shipping instructions said.

This was part of what is required for incoming vehicles

Do I need to do anything in advance?
Yes, it is your responsibility to notify the vendor of the date and location of our visit. You will also be required to inform the vendor of the following requirements that have to be met in order for us to carry out the inspection:

The keys to the vehicle must be available
The vehicle must have sufficient fuel for the Road Test
The vehicle must be located on a hard, level surface off the public highway – if this is not possible, the Inspection may be restricted
The vehicle must be present at the address of the Inspection as provided at the time of the booking and ready for inspection
The vehicle should be in a reasonably clean condition
The vehicle should be in a roadworthy and driveable condition
A valid MOT Certificate (where applicable) and the vehicle’s DVLA registration documents should also be available for inspection.

Just saying........:tea:

It normall needs to be absolutly spotless! vehicles usually need a semi quarantine I know for sure the UK Mil vehicles from Afghan have 5 stage cleaning process before they get a tag to be considered to come back to the UK. Any form of fungi, plant or blade of grass which lets face it every vehicle has somehwere means it needs to be de contaminated.

But good luck Doc!!!

You may well succed in importing a vehicle possibly another rareish motor and managed to destroy it. Good on ya!

I import FJ45 Toyota Landcruisers from Australia when I need some quick cash, they all are from farms and other working environments, they arrive at Southampton covered usually in red dirt, cobwebs, dead things inside the cabs, often accompanied by bullet casings. I use the same shipping company from Felixstowe, they do all the classic car exception forms, collect it and deliver it to me in Mildenhall. I have never been hassled about the condition of them, all they have to do is run and move about under there own power to use a RORO ferry. I doubt you will have any issue Doc. Heh, nothing more funny than storing a Auzzy Landcruiser in a mates warehouse only to find the place got rather "spidery" after a month or so.
