I had an ignition switch go bad in a 93 rrc. Ended up putting a new key and starter button in the kick panel and leaving the original key in so the steering lock didnt come on
Looking at the circuit diagram, it goes through splice S264 which would go to the Diesel components, then connector C108, then another splice at S105 which goes to the coil and the iggy amp.The battery was tested as fine, but not perfect. Everything works at pos 2..blower. lights, etc. There has to be something going on between the blue white wire and fuse c3 or from the ignition switch onwards. That's the task for today.
Silly question, but is there a relation of the tacho wire to the coil. I assumed earlier models had something, but later models do not.
My tacho comes of the alternator.
Have you done the series of tests described in rave?Duff probe on me meter. Got 12v all the way to the coil, ignition checked and good. Still no spark. Suspecting ECU or distributor, but I get no spark after coil lead again?
