No matter what the argument is, one thing is for sure.

Since the arrival of mainstream personalising of plates, car thieves never had it so good.
You could reccy the car dead easy, it was easier to change to a normal reg (currently a massive ebay trend) and "ghost" the car, and you could always find someone you were looking for without mistaking their car.

lets face it very few of them actually say exactly what they are meant to. these people seem fine with their misspelled name on a number plate but if you spell their name incorrectly on a piece of paper they see their arses. just adds proof to the pudding that private plates=sad ****ers ;)

is it just me or is there a vibe on this site thats kinda "if its not MY way then its wrong and your all ****ers" ?? seen a few threads / posts on here giving off the same feeling and had it aimed at me, its not a good thing ladies and gents !! surely there should be a bit more tolerance of differring views and opinions ??

why do people have private plates ? because they can !! maybe the same reason people on here drive old 80's rust buckets that shake and rattle and are slow and smoke alot. maybe the same reason 'boy racers' put big wheels and bodykits on their cars, or we wear different clothes. its because we all have different tastes, we all like different things, were not all the same, were not robots.

this is how Hitler and the NF started !!

oh ffs here we go again.
it's called friendly banter except some ****s can't see that,, fooking hitler did he have a personalised plate? '1 nut' perhaps
and whats with the ladles and gents . we on this site believe in calling a **** a ****
as for yer "we're not the same, we're not robots' you've seem to grasp the thing that makes this place different to sites that have anal content.so shut up and enjoy. mucho experience and mucho help is available here probelly more so than some other sites. you just have to except we're not all stuck up our own arses.
as yella dog said private plate = sad ****er

Why not save yourself the cost of buying a personalised numberplate by simply changing your name to match your registration?
