1965 landrover 90!. this was more than likely somebodys pride and joy

LANDROVER 1965 on eBay (end time 26-Jul-10 20:53:29 BST)

Firstly, interesting take on the op meaning of what he said. He might have just meant that the original 1965 landie was someones pride and joy in the past and has now been disposed of for its id for a 90

Secondly. it has coils. look at the rear photograph on ebay. You'd be able to see the leafs if it had any.

May I suggest that although up-set may be a geniune person, it is also possible that this complaint is just a smoke screen. Who knows if this is an innocemt party or, for that matter if "she" is actually a woman? I have no idea, but I find it interesting that, on repeated occasions, peeps have asked "her" to look at the axles/springs and nothing has transpired - only the comment "we have checked the vin plate (which most think is suspect) and the engine number (a disco implant) and VOSA say its all legal".

If this is genuine couple then I apologise, but knowing the interweb, nothing is necessarily what it seems.

maybe its stolen and maybe not but its definately not a 1965 series. Am i right in thinking that is not even a series roof?

****ed off - It could well be a genuine mistake but it looks like what used to be a white defender (going by the paint job on the wing/door and really bad overspray in the engine bay) with series id.

If you are genuine about this then I hope it all works out for you.

aye,tis a way dodgey bit of kit.may be home build but doubt it is allways best.the number is not suitable for that vehicle agreed so no it ougt be on a c plate or later i think and also pay back duty in tax.......

does the owner get done for back duty or not???

This is dodgy as ****.Unhappy should be renamed unhelpful:"we dont want people coming round to look at it even though we had it up for sale and that would involve people coming round and looking at it.Its sounds like you lot have a rough idea of whats going on so Im not interested in selling to you seeing as i want to off load a falsly plated mota onto any of the mugs on ebay."Bob has'nt uttered the words burn it once, yet his repeated question about the springs goes unanswered, offers to look declined and the owners got family that know wot they are on about, apprently. Theyve dodged paying tax on this the entire time theyve owned it and are now looking to off load it.BoB, might be time to call vosa/dvla-so they can tell ya they dont care?!

it's not long been resprayed, look at the engine pictures, there is green overspray onto the air intake by the filter, and also on the cables that pass across the top of the bulkhead, and the hinge locations, and the brake master cylinder bracket, and the front n/s wing looks like the aerosol was nearly empty when it was sprayed, was deffo white at some point.
