Not in the country I live in it ain't!:D

You might live in a devolved part of the United Kingdom subsidised to a huge extent by English taxpayers but Vehicle Licensing laws apply to whole of the UK as far as I can see. So whether you live off English subsidies in Jockland or not, vehicle is still registered with the UK registration authority and subject to the same laws regarding the registered keeper.
I am unsure how anything with such a small brain can keep making a fool of itself in public.

Desuetude

In law, desuetude (from the Latin word desuetudo: outdated, no longer custom) is a doctrine that causes statutes, similar legislation or legal principles to lapse and become unenforceable by a long habit of non-enforcement or lapse of time. It is what happens to laws that are not repealed when they become obsolete. It is the legal doctrine that long and continued non-use of a law renders it invalid, at least in the sense that courts will no longer tolerate punishing its transgressors.

Yes i can live with that to a certain extent. But there was a case not all that long ago, cannot remember the details to be honest. But the government lawyers used a law dating back to i think the 1400s to get one over on someone. If it's good for the goose it should be the same for the gander.:):):)

Result! phoned them up and the ticket was cancelled without argument, gave the ticket number and she said 'yes, I can see the ticket is clearly wrong from the photo's'.
Because the the reg details are incorrect on the ticket, it's not enforcible, as I suspected.

Thanks all (well most - didn't mean to start an argument :D) for the input.
