It also means I wont write off the gearbox or transfer......LT230 will take the strain no problem!

My plan is to fit 1.1 transfer gears so I can get up to around 50 in 3rd as I think that should be possible with 3.54 diffs and the 35's

Second pic shows it but I think all bellhousings are pretty close! If not local gearbox guru can mod the bellhousing for me
 
cos it wont fit gm gearbox.

however gm manual box that you looking at should have same splines as lt95...so that may come in handy somewhere..maybe..prehaps.

adapter plate off the shelf..you can buy over here
 
Block and bellhousing look similar, both are GM made after all


But the point is the box can take it and can be mated to an LT230!

Its starting to get expensive an time consuming lol

couple of them cylinders look like oil burners.......... The weak spot on them was there oiling problems

I also questioned about checking the mains and rod bearing also. Wonder how many spiders and mice been in the water ways:rolleyes::lol:
