I didnt think they ever did a 7liter small block as stock back in the 70's?

This is a high displacement small block from the research I've done. Definitely not a big block as it's no where near 500kg and it's smaller in size than the 3.5!

so far they have never done a 7 liter small block in any century or decade

Bull****. What am I building here then?

It's a small block not a big block

I just cant believe that we have 35 pages of ****e and nothing has happened of any value.

Some pics of a dirty engine and some other parts.

Bloody silly, cant decide if i want to unsubscribe because of the lack of content or keep reading to enjoy the banter.

REALLY need less chat more action IMO

Ok Doc if that is how you feel........... The few of use will keep things at the PM then. Amazing how this started out as a 440 hemi and turned into a small block.

I thought the new corvette motor was about that big crammed in to the size of a small block externally now? anyway it doesnt matter, I am just wondering what doc acutually has?

Yep they did in 2006 there first 7 liter small block 427 CID..........Jump to L - 7.0 L LS7 engine in a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 ... The small-block's

So I was wrong:rolleyes:

Think we need to know what engine size it is. Big engines are cool but a supercharger probably best to avoid lag on it.

Up to you, either way it doesn't bother me. I always expect my threads to go down the ****ter thanks to my very own personal troll.

Do what you want really but no progress can be made until my new parts arrive

Well it was meant to be according to the V5 but then we measured the bores if you actually read things instead of just attempting to impart your own brand of bull**** you might be able to add constructive comments but obviously not.

You don't like the thread then **** off and find someone else to troll

Already stated its a 429, we measured the bores and found the engine number

The original V5 was wrong and it ain't gonna lag bro ;)

Really???????????? How do you do that?????? Need to name this series MacGyver

Quite simple really.......I bring a piece of stock to the milling machine, clamp it in then mill it to hold whatever starter I want to use.

As long as the tooth pitch is correct it makes no difference and neither does it if I use an aftermarket one with different mounting holes such as a Wosp

After I told you from the year caddy you said

No, after we measured up........just because its a certain year of vehicle doesn't mean it has the stock engine.

You can try and claim glory for something you haven't done but we all know its bull****

go back to the other thread when you started mentioning this caddy engine, and have a look. You started a new thread when you found out what year it was. You even said I was right when I told you what it was. Know what thread was that Doc so we all can see.

Yeah but we measured up before you got round to that which is why I got it cheaper than original because it was smaller than we thought

Now fcuk off my thread as I'm sure there must be something more useful for you to do than troll on here

I'm just reading to see if this series gets finished if doc had kept the 3.5 this could be going now. Will be one hell of a series when he gets it road legal.

Seriously will you please STFU! No wonder people get ****ed off with you

I for one want to see doc get this thing going as it will be epic. Now please **** off and troll somewhere else!:fighting:

Just need to STOP the useless arguing and get down to basics and discuss the engine and build, that way everyone has something interesting to see/read

So please everyone stop going on at eachother and doc just try to get something going before page 40!! :D

Well the head gaskets are arriving on wednesday :p I'll take a few pics of them and tomorrow I may go get the block and heads prepped with some scothbrite and brake cleaner

Gearbox is unknown.....pallet company are useless but from what I was told it should also arrive on weds!

Gonna sort the rings at same time. Easiest time.

What size is it? Cos of the piston size there will be some lag in an engine that old. Supercharger will help big time! Might as well make it epic

I already told you what size it was  :p 429ci or 7.03L

Its a high displacement small block

Wont be fitting a charger at this point in time, not until I can make up a full roll cage! But I've got the bits needed to mate up an Eaton M112
