Well I may have quoted the wrong model because I'm pretty sure the one I've just bought is 3 speed
as in 1, 2, 3 and reverse
If its a 4 then thats even better but I'm still gonna need to fit 1.1 transfer gears

then it is not a sm465 then............. it is a 3-speed Saginaw manual, a weak transmission and was never hook to a 4x4.
which was a V6 and a 3 speed trans and only 2 wheel drive. It will not be fit for purpose. You better not buy it

It is a 2wd too but the SM465 came in both 2 and 4
heard of muncie who are supposed to be good, never heard of saginaw- sounds a bit gay though
muncie were nicked name the rock crusher. was demonstrated as to how tough it was to the military by dumping stones into it on a test.
Saginaw was a 2 wheel drive in a 1/2 ton pickup transmission
ok then GM and wikepida is wrong have a look? what do you miss a sm465 is a 4 speed, the 3 speed is a saginaw
