If you can't find some setting for Alarm nowhere then that tool is full of sh*t, it's something about programming not force outputs , in that case send that tool back
It's testing the circuit for what you selected by forcing an output to it for example in warnings if you give it to "glow plug" the glow plug warning light should come on ...and so on for the others
Yes i think so even though this "robust immobiliser" is not even a D2 thing, it's specific for others like e.g Freelander, on the D2 is officially called "passive immobiliser"... IMO somebody really messed up that Lynx's menu
Well, well... The chap at Paddock dealing with the return says they're quite aware that the Lynx Evo doesn't work very well with the Discovery 2. Wish they'd just said that before.
"Evolution" is supposed to be based on random chance. Buy a product named after that theory, and who knows what you'll get! Thankfully no big bang was involved this time...
Just to add from experience avoid Lynx like the plague the customer service is woeful and the product mediocre compared to others don't be taken in by all the from Omitec who do Testbook blather and the glossy ads in the magazines. Unfortunately it was too late to return by the time I realised I'd bought a pup.
Are you talking about the original Lynx or the evolution? I have the original lynx and it is excellent. Perhaps with the evolution it went wrong when they translated the software into a phone app.
Just bought a lynx Evo for my 98 Discovery with EDC. I programmed a spare alarm fob and it imobilised the fuel pump DDS. Seems it interrupts the handshake to the 10AS unit. Not much use with very few functions. Hawkeye ordered
Personally when forking out the cash for this i was exited to have what i thought was a sophisticated bit of kit to leave in the 110.
It's alright but the live data is pretty weak and i'd like if the app plotted the data so you could analysis it after a drive.
I'm considering getting another diagnostic tool as well to be fair, especially now Britpart have decided to sack in their own Diagnostic App and use "Auto Diag" now.
