£20 for 2.5 litres off of fleabay, used about half the pot so far, the outside has 3 coats (roof and bonnet need another tho as they've only got two at the min) done all the door jams, sills and the insides of the wings where the bonnet meets and the front slam panel with two coats too so it covers quite well!

The finish is better than I thought it would be, it seems the more coats the better but its never gonna be perfect as its just brushed on!! :D

Not sure on the legalities of this 'tank' but it works so meh! :D

And as a bonus my tool box and my recovery kit box sit side by side in the boot and are wedged in nicely when the boot closes leaving plenty of room for... um... well not much actually! Couple 6 packs I guess :)

Thanks mate, I dunno might give them a coat of paint to match the outside. Once the permanent tank is built I'm going to mount the original filler cap/flap in the old window hole but we'll see :)

Nice job mate, EVEN I couldnt be bothered fitting the interior panels back in and i havent had to cut mine down! :D

tbh i am liking the vehicle, i think its that fact that youre doing a decent job that i really appreciate.

top work dude and looking forward to further work :)

LOVE the ghetto tank btw

Cheers Noisy! :) I'm pleased with how its turned out, got a few more things to do but its getting there!

haha.... :)

Hi all!! Had a AWESOME day at Dundry pay and play site on Sunday.. the ruts were fully dried out and it was stupidly bumpy in places, it gave the shocks a good workout! I still managed to find some nice challenging bits tho, the bobtail made mince meat of sections that the big old disco would never have got through :) I spent the morning testing the waters and having a laugh with the lads, did quite a few of the tight undulating sections, managed to dent the drivers door through a high cambered high banked route. The afternoon was spent getting a bit more ambitious! I managed to get stuck several times in the deep stuff but also cleared a few routes that have been unused for a few months.. with the help of some winching that is! :)

The casualties were two kinetic ropes - both snapped! a broken indicator and the door dent!

All in all a fantastic day, I'm really pleased with the bobtail it has made the disco such a capable tool in the tight stuff! I'm now showing up 10k defenders!! :D
