Just done a 200tdi conversion.
Talk about chalk and cheese !
If anybody is thinking of doing it, stop thinking about it and get your hand dirty.

I loved my 90 as a TD, but now...................it don't get no better than this !

it does, when you get round to wanting a proper engine put a v8 into it

Why would i want a v8 ? They don't do water !

I've replaced my TD with a 200tdi an the transformation is amazing. I still can't get it above 70mph though. Should the gearbox be changed as well

Got a 200tdi and changed the tranny and gear box over from me other bus, and it certainly made a difference (different ratios) Better mpg, better speed for motorways etc, well worth doin'

Like they say tranny box as well ! With the TD it would get be in 5th and be doing 50 , but now it gets to 50 in 4th

What transfer box do I need and what ratio. I'm assuming it still has the gear/tranny box from the 2.5Td.

Disco tranny box - higher ratios than the deepender one - if yu have the LT77 box.

haha! But yeah, i agree - it's the way forward (at more than 40mph and up hills in 5th!!!)
