Great to see all this, just started cutting mine apart ready for box section. The rust didn't scare me half as much as the bodge jobs I found in there, glad I have taken the leap.

Made up a triangle floor support thingy. Well pleased with it considering all I got is a big hammer and a vice . Puddle welded it through the floor and attached to the box section.

brushed off a load of kak from top of fuel tank, and gave the fuel connectors a good drink of Plus Gas.though looking at the plastic bit of the connector , I think its knackered.

Sealed the B post.

Cut this off .......

Ooooooo look ...... More holes !!!!

How do I tackle this bit.
Cut back up the chassis about an inch either side to (good) metal and weld in one big plate ??

Or ..... Plan B

Run a thick bead of weld up against the A plate and then cut out inside the weld lines that are there and use that as my good metal ??

Nah, do it properly - you'll only be doing it again in a year or two otherwise! Cut it back, rust treat, glue in some new stuff and go to twon on the rot prevention with fertan, bonda and dynax etc...
