Now then ....

Are these part of the axle or part of the shock.

They’re stuck fast. If I bash them with hammer, will they simply drop off ??

thanks James......better be careful with my hammer !!

No, smash them off, they are for special bushes that LR use from the factory, they're a cone shaped bush, the cups are totally unnecessary for regular shock bushes.

mmm ..... will leave on till i get my new bushes. if i knock them off, im sure to need them.

not much done past fortnight ...... working :(

anyways, given a coat of red on the first third bit of axle.

Spent all afternoon getting nuts and bolts off rear trailing arm........bastids !!!

..........so how does it come out ??

If i raise the axle, will the arm drop down and then bash the chassis end to pop it out?

didn't take any pics, i'll take some tomorrow.

If unbolted it literally just comes out by massaging with land rover special tool AKA your hammer. Mine are getting dropped in the chimnea over the weekend lol

Tip of the day.......

Don’t grind into rubber bushes with yer head close by.!!!

I did yesterday, and took 10mins of scrubbing to get the kak out of my beard, and I can still taste the stuff !!!

I have a chunk out of my beard where a grinder spark went in it and singed lol

Well that went well !!

Got trailing arm off , quite easy once I jacked the axle up.

But

The poxy chassis rubbers !!!

Over an hour, bashing, swearing, chiselling, ...... finally prized them out !
......and that was supposed to be the easy end!
