£35 is cheap, most places charge 60-110. 1 life adventure, LROAC etc etc. its a joke, but people pay. i spoke to 1 chap on a lane in wales who said, i quote: " the organiser has been driving these tracks for 20 years, he knows them like the back of his hand". the bloke who paid £100 for the weekend spoke like he didnt even know what a map 2was! there are these people out there.
and if you think this is bad. We bumped into the LROAC in Morocco. 28 vehicles in 2 groups. There is no such thing as " legal Lanes" there, just pistes. which are basically rough un metalled roads. the price? £1100. what you get? same as lanes in wales, nothing but a guide.
****ing joke. having never driven abroad before we managed a solo trip for 4 weeks on our own covering over 600miles offroad (on our own).
but if people want to pay they will. i have been thinking of taking people to moroc, it is SO easy. money spinner.
And i have also spoken to the LROAC lead guide who told me that they are basically responsible for nothing. if someone damaged vehicles, gets lost etc. they will "help" but are not responsible.
the way of the commercial world im afraid.
