Havnt got it back yet.

However before the headstuds wasnt that far off, around 240hp & 530nm at guess based off my 110 dyno.

No issues in 12k not as if i drive like a granny on a Sunday.

If the TX box does go, ill have it rebuilt to the same spec as my 110. Sleeved casing ATB, uprated shaft etc...

If the gbox goes Winchester box.

It has got an Ashcroft ATB in the rear but will be getting a pegged ATB for the rear and the other will go in the front.

Shafts never broken one on tarmac, just off road when torque loading a wheel in dry conditions.

Standard parts, if looked after are surprisingly strong! Gareth has the larger VNT of mine in his 90 and running more power (we suspect 290hp+ 590nm+) totally stock drivetrain.

One thing it does need are bigger brakes! So ive got a set of 4 pot Brembos with 330mm discs. Biggest brakes that will fit 16" wheels 😁

Disco is almost ready for collection! Will be getting it on Saturday after a long 2 months!

Be nice to drive it again.

Decided Im going to remove the lift blocks, keep it as a 2" lift. It did Marquenterre without issue so I dont need anymore lift or articulation. I do drive it on the road alot so would prefer a more stable set up.

Not D2 related but still LR related! Fabricated a few parts for my mates 110 today.

3.5" wing entry snorkel,

Forgive the look on my face was difficult welding in 30° heat 😅

"Sports" mid box fairly quiet on the mway/cruising but a nice bark when you floor it 😄

Finally a "Zunsport" front grille, why buy one when I have a laser cutter 😎

😅😅😅 basically fell into the roll at work because of my car/machinery knowledge. So took over the laser cutter, machine maintenance and steel fabrication side of the business and left the chippy work to the others. Also helping in the design phase of alot of the structures and towers we build, so everything can be stripped down easily and packed into a container.

Migs considerably better than it was, helps having a 3 phase Lincoln to use though!

Just been teaching myself to tig so I can do more really!

So finally got the D2 back from the engine work at Empire HQ. All I can say is the power delivery is incredible, its actually quite quick and has a ridiculous amount of torque.

Awesome having switchable maps too, little to no smoke and fairly conservative in map 1, map 2 just full bore!

Had to limit the boost to around 2.3 bar at the moment which appears to be the limit the ECU firmware can actually register, reliably that is. Room for more but needed the car back as the GT86 goes for body repair after some **** Tboned me few weeks ago.

Spent most of Sunday trying to fit the brakes

Install was fairly straightforward and bleeding was easy.

Except when I went to refit my alloys they dont fit 😡😡 even though I checked them on LOFs chassis at the show, they clear just enough to spin but once the wheels are torqued up they are rock solid with zero clearance. Neither me nor LOF can work out whats gone wrong so going to get new wheels.

16 x 8" -ET35 are confirmed fitment so will swap for them and sell the ZUs.

Also for some reason my rear windows and front sunroof have stopped working.

Loosing the love for the D2 if im honest, want the simplicity of a Defender back.

Second times the charm!

New ET-35 Tuff Torque wheels fitted, done by a mobile fitter mate at work! Very convenient.

Refit the Brembos from LOF, they fit now!
Will get some of those 3D printed caps at Billing next week.

Taking it east for the moment while the bed in for a few hundred miles.

Also got round to finishing my custom steering guard. Didnt like anything on the market so laser cut and bent my own. Uses the same bracket the original guard came with and the winch mounting holes.

Will get some pics of it fitted tomorrow :)

New tyres on the way! Decided to try out some Radar Renegade RT+ 285/75/16. Had a look at them at Billing, they look good with a similar tread pattern to Cooper ST Maxxs which I still rate as the best all round tyre for a proper 4x4.

Hopefully they work well. Cooper Pros just arnt for a daily! If anyone wants them they are for sale.

Will fit the wide arches and trim the inner arches ready for the bigger tyres.

Already has +2 brake lines and extended ABS lines and +2 springs and shocks but standard watts linkage. Looks like it has a Bailey Morris front double carden prop but unsure if its HD etc... same for the rear.

Would I need anything else doing?
Hi, I have been planning to get a set of Radar Renegade RT+ for my off-road expeditions. Have heard a lot of good things about them so thought I'd ask someone who has used them. How has your experience been with these both on and off road since you bought them? Is the road noise low?
