Started on my new airbox today.

3.5" inlet and 4" outlet to turbo. Laser cut and CNC bent 2mm mild steel.

Went with tabs and slots to make it easy to line up. It does have a lid which will have some 3mm polycarbonate, makes it easy to check on the filter! Obviously with some rubber seals to keep it water tight.

Honestly? Didnt have any stainless in stock  just used what I had in the shelf

Ali needs to be tigged and I cant tig, yet...

Got a couple days off from work. Soooo wide arches! They are the priority as tyres booked for fitting on Fri morn.

Aiming to get the aux fuse box in, headlight guards and gauge pod in but knows.

Was also pleasantly surprised to find D2 AC condensers are only £160! Nof £600 like a Def! Mines seen better days for sure, so thats on the list.

Wide arch day! What a pain this is. ALOT of cutting to fit them and really difficult to get it perfect.

Especially as im having to remove the door trim

3/4 done though!

Finally done! Took a while. Ended up sorting a few rusty patches and realised I need both front inner wings...

Booked in for the 33s" tomorrow morning :D

Also got rid of the gutless Alive map and loaded a bespoke Empire tune, along with a new map sensor and some more boooost. Goes much better now :D

Installed my second stealth light bar, its almost as if these Osram bars are made for D2s!

Not bad flex either considering still got both ARBs

Passenger tyre rubs slightly on the radius arm so have bought some 30mm hubcentric spacers. Should solve that.

You can get a fair amount of flex on a Disco with ARBs still in place. This has standard wheels and tyres and a 2" lift so nothing extreme. Both back wheels still on the ground.

Made some more progress on the airbox as well.

3.5" inlet, 4" to turbo. Going to have to use some pie cuts to bring the filter connection more central.

New tyres are decent so far. Much less road noise than Coopers, rides well too.

Cant stand the straight through exhaust though, sounds awful, boomy and loud. So bought a free flow resonator which Ill weld in to the straight pipe. Should sound a lot better and less boomy

Been meaning to do this for weeks. Big of trial and error to get it right but didnt take long.

Bonnet gas struts-

We all know how often the bonnets up on a Landy, makes life easier

I cant believe I just got scammed into wasting 9seconds of my life watching you open and close a bonnet:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Standard :p:p:p

What ones did you buy mate?

I bought struts, laser cut some brackets from 3mm stainless. Though you can get mounts off amazon and ebay.

200n 400mm long. However I expect that 250 or 300n and 450mm struts may work better.

Its a nice soft, assisted open at the minute. Bit more pressure it would be hands free.

Want to do this to mine. Don't suppose you could post more detailed pictures such as where you located the brackets on the inner wings? And what struts did you use?
