In less depressing MOT related news ive decided to make a 3" turbo back exhaust for the 110.
Will retain a midbox (similar to my current) but likely no rear box.
All mild steel so will be painted with Buzzwelds VHT paint in silver or black (will help to a degree) + exhaust wrap.
Shouldnt be too spendy and a fun project to do!

Small update.
All the box section for the rear seat subframe has arrived.
Just ordered the sheet steel cut to size for the drawer
Drawer runners ordered
Retrimming the seat bases smaller is £80 from a local firm
Picking up a second bottle of gas next week just incase I run out.
Just lots of measuring and welding to do over xmas!!

I have just bought some of this seal as I’m sick of the freezing cold wind getting around the door seals. Did you cut the P seal for the corners of the door, or just bend it round the 90degree corners? Did it make closing the doors any more difficult?

Had a lovely weekend at the Salisbury Plains.
First time using the all the ATBs properly off road! Flawless bits of kit, work so well together. Though interesting when the front diff locks up, makes steering rather heavy!
Very deep and very wet, ill get some vids up soon.

Back at the house for xmas for a few days. What better time to get started on the RRS rear seats!
Not going to be as easy as first thought but still doable.
Routing round the derv heater has become an issue but ive resolved that now.
Also removed the rear speaker boxes which makes the seats fit much better! However now have to relocated the speakers somewhere
Basic floor frame.
Going to tack it all in situ, remove the whole frame and weld it up properly.
The big empty space is for a drawer.
Not going to be as easy as first thought but still doable.

Bit more progress. Main subframe is complete.
Both seats tested fitted and drilled into position.
Single seat has been welded upright. Lots of weld
Holes marked for fitting the subframe in.
One thing to say is these seats are BIG feels like ive got two body builders in the back
Supprisingly leg room is improved, slightly. Headroom is much to be desired, not comfortable if yoir above 6'2"
Oh and I cannot see anything out the back window or curved windows. However the middle seat folds down so I can see. Useful having a heated rear screen
Left to do -
- Paint subframe
- Securely fit the subframe in position
- Wiggle the derv heater in and reconnect (not looking forward to this!)
- Clad open sections with carpeted steel sheet
- Route the original LR seatbelts through
- build and fix the drawer in place

I was in the back of one a few days ago looking for a trip to the yard, first thing I said to the driver was that it needs 10" added to the cabin at the back to make it anywhere near comfortable, I was in it for 15 minutes and I just as well been in a Mk1 mini for being cramped up lol
