Made some good progress on the drawers after work today. In spite of the violent heat.

All works as it should after a couple tweaks to the frame.

Just got to fit it in the 110, take some measurements for the side locker, draw that up.

Going to dynamat, foam and carpet it. Cant have the noise of jingling as a drive 🀣

Not fixed down yet but will be tomorrow!

Dynamat inside, 2mm foam, followed by carpet inside. Should keep the contents nice and quiet!

Started drawing up the side cubby for the hi-lift but the pressbrake decide to kill it self! So thats on hold for now.

Overall pretty happy! Learned how to make it better so, yeah happy!

Another incredibly busy day in the heat!!

Full service, 2k early but off too Scotland soon so thought I would do it before hand.

Ran out of my usual oil and Oppie oils had sale so went for Fusch, came highly recommended. Β£42 for 10L

Forgive the state of the engine bay ive since cleaned it πŸ˜‚

Also fitted a new OEM G Injector Harness as its never been done + OEM G rocker gasket + a touch of RTV.

Diffs, very glad I changed the oil!

Im not too concerned as one was a fresh diff so some bedding in to be expected.

The front was a total axle rebuild + welding and a diff that had sat in the garage for a year. So also not surprised. Both where flushed and refilled.

Will change again in 6k

Gearbox oil was crystal clean, still red so happy days.

TX box was golden and clean so happy again.

Changed the clutch master for the second time in 3 months because TRW are ****E

Fitted a Girling from Empire, 3x the price but shouldn't fail. Also fitted a LOF Clutch spring, save my poor knee and leg πŸ˜…

State of that clutch fluid after 3 months!

Also found my steering UJs are rather worn so that needs addressing next week πŸ™ƒ

Finally onto rock sliders!

X3 coats of Buzzwelds Epoxy primer and x4 coats of Raptor Ceramic Enhanced. Supposedly stronger than normal! Done via HVLP for a finer texture.

get em sun baked!

Haha if only!

Service was definitely needed! The smokeyness has fallen massively, engines quieter. Only downside is the design of the 300tdi air filter is causing and awful high pitched noise.... Sounds almost like a warped manifold πŸ‘€

Its not didnt do it with the old filter πŸ˜…

Make a vortex in the snorkel. ?
Are you using a standard or K&N air filter (k&N prone for whistle noise as more air flow )

Cleaner than the last pic πŸ˜‚ also 100miles since service and not a drop of oil from the rocker. Nicely sealed 😁

What I did notice is quite a lot of play in the steering UJs which would hopefully explain the wandering sensation. Luckily have one at work πŸ˜… suppose it pays to panic order large amounts of spares based of experience...

Started soaking in plus gas hopefully its an easy swap.

Still got rear wheel bearings to change before Scotland. Not that there is any discernible play but since I found a non Timken one id rather do them before a 500mile+ drive and offroading!

Oooo calm down 🀣 ill get more drawer pics when then finished and installed properly.

Don’t worry… wait till he scratches them off road ;) (or getting the tyres transferred over by the Kwik fit newbie's)

I reckon he put the sliders on to keep away from the kerbs

Nooo kwik fit are not fitting these. Local garage have the honour and have done some good work recently!

They are off road wheels so just like my Bowlers will be used as intended!

Ive always liked the white pop!

So far likeing the BFGs, certainly not worth the price tag if I where to buy again id get Falkens or Toyos.

Though the BFs came to me with less than 200miles on them for less than Β£500 so cant complain!
