Hi all - am back again with alarm woes.
Think my problem is with the door open switch/sensor. Can sit in it with the door open - and no warning light on the dashboard nor interior light. Then if I close the door, wait a minute or so, and open the door - the dashboard light will come on. Usually if it comes on, it will flicker out.
Sometimes with the door open and the dash light on, when I close the door the light will go out. Then after a few seconds it will flicker on again, usually then staying on.
Now here's the weird thing, if I move the door mirrors switch up or right, the interior light comes on as does the dash light.

Am totally stumped - any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers all
Danny

Long shot but try removing the door mirror switch fuse F17 - see if this changes anything.

Hi all - success!
Tried mirror fuse, but no change.
Then with drivers door open, and no dash warning lamp, I wiggled the wires between the door and body. The dash light then flickered on and off. I decided to look at the wires in the door, all looked ok but as you know thats easier said than done.
I couldn't see any obvious problem other than the wing mirror wires were a bit tight, and could have chafed against the body work.
I have now taped all wires at critical points and secured inside the door.

Hey presto - all is good and working well.

I now have a quiet alarm and red light on the dash when unlocking - which I think is key fob battery warning.

Thanks to all for advice

Cheers danny
