Designed and built by me. :)

This is the main benefit. It gives me clear visibility behind. I run it as an "ignition switched" rear mirror.

This is how I did it. Please ignore the four roof light brackets - they are nowt to do with this.

Have you spotted the two "fake" stainless wheel nuts?

Rob, you are TOO keen :D

Lovely job done, that is fabulous craftsmanship.

Couple of things, how did you attach the faux wheel nuts? Far far far too form over function for me but just curious, and what is the other adaptor thingy that you have fitted in some of the pics with the box section sticking out? Bike rack??

Cheers ! :)

have to give it to you, especially having seen it in the flesh - that rear wheel with the light/camera is a real tidy well finished job!

Good work rob!

High praise indeed. :):)

I used a thin washer, cut the head off a wheel stud and welded them together then and painted them. Put the studs in place and tighten the three proper studs, that compresses the washers and allows a nip from a socket to hold the fake ones on. Yep, the retainer for a bike rack. I had to make my own as the original one is designed for 235 tyres and they were 265s in the picture. Since then, I've swapped to 315s so I need to make another.

Stainless straight through centre pipe - didn't last long as it was just far too noisey!!

BTW, this photo was taken in the garage, not the kitchen. :eek::eek:

Garage is tidy. Tidier than most kitchens in fact. No piles of spares, no tools lying around, no half eaten takeaway food betwixt the work, no vice present and no beverages are on display.

Therefore:

:scratching_chin::scratching_chin:

I do have a vice - it's on the opposite side of the garage to the and amp, which is adjacent to the DVD, TV & ipod, all running through 5.1 surround sound.

:fencing:
