I have a set of 30mm aluminium spacers (very good condition) for sale but no food offers unless you want said item inserting somewhere!!:eek::eek:

Swapped the old Scorpion Racing (orange) bump stops for some black ones because they are black - double no sh1t Shelock!!

These have already been sold. :D

Red powder coated Terrafirma springs to go as soon as I can afford OME.

Great build, your attention to detail is amazing and I'm very jealous of the 2.8.

I had a read through the thread but couldn't find an answer, did you use any special paint to do the callipers?

I freakin' love this thread.
A man after my own standards!

I'm not sure - I wouldn't eat my dinner off my axle but I would off yours!

Initially used a Halfrauds red caliper paint but the green is just enamel - I don't think they get enough heat in them to cause paint blistering.

Cannot believe how clean and tidy your disco is mate, u really have done a great job. Did u paint it all yourself? Throw a few good clear pics up if u can mate so I can see the lot. Cheers.

Think you'll find he opted to send it to the sprayers instead. :D

Looking good, Rob.

Damn! Caught me out Mark.

The bonnet was done indoors at 10 degrees and went on really well, just like the paint thread we've all seen. Did the roof outside and it just dried on contact. Looked bloody awful. SWMBO paid to have it sprayed for me - I love that woman!

That's why there was a sudden "jump" in progress. I went to Lanzarote and they painted it green.

Great quality and great service. I still needs to go back for a final polish as that wasn't possible due to the amount of bits moved which mean some panels were loose and risked damage.

My plan was to paint bits black and put them back as they were complete but my car is becoming an "honourary biker" for the day on Thusday and joining in with my mate's funeral procession so I'm chucking most of the stuff back on today and will repaint as time allows.

Ah, I see, must have missed that bit - its a really long thread lol.

I was hoping that you'd say it was easy! Bugger. Oh well, I have a local contact who has done loads of landies (very well!) and he's pretty reasonable too, so I reckon he'll get the job in the end. I'm only after a colour change on the D1 to Fuji white or maybe Borrego Yellow... but I was in the paintshop the other day getting some red oxide and they stock candyflake... I'm thinking a black cherry candyflake would be pretty unusual :D I'm very oldskool as you'll find out ;)

What an amazing thread, I've just read it from start to finish and it's excellent what you've done! Also what a outstanding disco you have. Looking forward to many more posts.
