How does the TGV compare to a 300Tdi in real life terms?

Well the TGV was tested lest year between Paris and Nice and on several sections it achieved 561 kph.

Don't know about the TDi 300 but about 150kph would be tops I reckon.

8k in it's great, especially with the later addition of a full width Allisport intercooler.

Great acceleration. Suprises lots of normal cars. Good overtaking power. Cruises all day at 75mph with 35" tyres and a standard auto box. Accelerates up hills as opposed to slowing down.

Same sh177y mpg though.

Just read the the whole thread from the start, really is a credit to you and very motivational :clap2::clap2::clap2:

This had slipped back to page 6:) Can't remember if it was your disco, can't find the pic I saw. There was a disco with LED lights as cabin lights, was it you?

I can't remember.Who ever it was,did they wire in to the cabin light or did you run a new feed to them?

Edit-just looked through steves thread,I've got the direct replacement led bulbs fitted.I saw a pic of one with the front bumper/day running type of unit in the cab.

I will be swapping out my cabin lights soon, got my carling switches ready, going for white or red switchable option and also altered the wiring so I can turn off the dash illumination when necessary :)

Watch my space!
