quick panic question....

does anyone know the torque settings for the diff to axle nuts. Cant seem to find it in the Rave anywhere?
 
Can't find owt the manual i got off internet dunt mention the torque setting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
ta Grunt - neither duz mine - or the Haynes!

i got a diff on the axle, jointing compound on the gasket and cant tighten the piggin nuts up!
 
48? I jest looked too & **** find it. I reckoned aboot 25...........but then I'm a soft suven bastid! :rolleyes:
 
i did it spanner tight and checked - 25 ft lbs all round. gotta replace the nylocks tho at some stage soon. but at least its in.
Adz, Marcus - yu got a wheel bearing spanner - osrear needs adjusting - too much end float. I know Adz wants to do his - maybe do them all at the same time? ;).
Nearly there - os rear brakes checked, greased and adjusted - now for ns:D
 
Not sure I'm going to be able to wait to adjust mine matey - iss mekin a really nasty noise now :( Bearin' is probbly fecked so I'm replacing it next week.

Yer welcome to a loan of me 52mm box spanner when I'm done if yer need it - fink Marcus 'as gotta socket for 'em though.

diff in, oil in, halfshafts in tempry. rear mudflaps fitted. can sleep at nite till i get back :D
