Also drive the wifes fiesta if I am feeling like an economy mode day - which is not very often I have to admit!

Just the series 3.... and my push bike that is ****ed! Needs putting in the bin and replacing. Never felt right since i had a big crash on it last year!

Need the money for one of those Land Rover bikes... In bright orange :D

Save you money and get a decent bike - the Land Rover ones are not exactly brilliant! Take their Vorbano 2009 - 28lb for a hard tail carbon framed bike? Who on earth is going to buy that. Unless its jsut for the LR badge.

As for push bikes, I mainly ride a Coyote Easton HT5 Ultralite with XTR, carbon bits blah blah.

Exactly!!

If we are talking bikes then mine an elderly Orange Sub 3, with quite old XTR 8 speed, reverse rise - (what ever happen to that? I thought it was brill) Middleburn, Hope etc.

I've got an old Dyna-Tech (Hand-made frame, Raleigh racing department) Cro-mo comp, steel framed hardtail .. only standard bits on it are frame and seatpost! Great bike .. light as a feather almost ... ;)

How much does it weigh in at? Mine is now at 19.8 pounds which I think is quite light.

Dunno, but I'll weigh it this afternoon. ;)

Certainly lighter than (bearing in mind this is a 12 years old frame) anything in JEJames (Chesterfield) last year that was less than £600 ... RRP on mine was originally £745, bearing in mind the better technology of today ...

I got it from Dyna-Tech direct for £300 'cos I was making them some Ti parts for their team MTB's at the time .. ;)

I've got the Rangie plus my 1998 modified Omega that is currently SORN cos its not running properly and I'm buggered if I can find what's wrong with it! Really got to get it sorted - I miss driving it and its more economical than the Rangie!

19.8 is well light, mine's somewhere between 24 and 25 lbs ... which for it's time was featherlight ... ;)

Mate had a full Ti frame, stupidly thin wheelset and minimal 'extras and got his mountain bike down to 16 ... but he could never actually ride it off-road, scared he'd break it!!

My bike about a year ago .. saddle is now different, as are the stem and handlebars ... Gear set used to be the old style XT but they went west a few sets ago, can't recall what the name os this set is, think it's STX-RC, only 21 speed, and not high-end, same as forks, cheap, short movement, but that's fine by me, thumb shifters rather than twisters etc etc .. all to suit me, not fashion. As it happens, I also still prefer Vee's against discs .. :)
