The land rover is still there where it was pulled to, as it has an earth wire fault so I cannot get any life to it, to even put it into neutral to tow it anywhere else. Fun, times.
 
What gearbox? Is it one where you can add a magic fuse for towing? (eg ZF auto) perhaps not, but thought I'd ask. If not, then props off sounds easier than half shafts out- impact gun and the magic prop shaft tool. I'd also be taking a fully charged battery down there and some big jump leads, but put the -ve on the engine block, just in case you can convince it to move itself. But you said HG has gone as well :eek:)

Will a jump pack with + on the battery and - on the engine block not give you enough power to get it into N? That's that the AA chap did when my D3 started shorting through the alternator.
