The 110 has the same size back just extra seats, no good.

Looked at a few 130 but they are pricey and everyone I have seen for sale are not very good.

ermm not if you get the 3door Van they don't mines 6ft from rear bulkhead to back door..

keep the landy and buy a proper van for work but don't get a navara they're ****e crap at towing (certainly won't tow what a defender will) and when they break which they do a lot. they cost a fooking fortunes to repair..

If you need it for towing most of the jap pickups can't legally tow the weight ou want. I've had a ford ranger (Mazda B2500) was a nice truck but can pull any weight. Anything over 2 ton and it really struggled. I've ended up buying a td5 hi cap, enough room in the back for what I carry and can tow the weight. You need to decide what you want/need the vehicle to do. If you tow 2.8t regularly I'd start by narrowing down the vehicle that can legally tow that weight and go from there.

Hi all just wondered if anyone on here is a builder/contractor, and what do you use as the work vehicle?
I am a building contractor and going to sell my defender 90 as I am lacking in serious space for tools and general room. But I need a 4x4 for towing my machines and materials. I am thinking about get a Nissan navara or ford ranger. Will be very sad to see the defender go though :(

Cheers
Alex

if you need more room for tools youcan take out the 2 3rds seat or the 1 3rd 1. i have taken out the 2 3rds seat put all my lecy tools in there and hand tools and cement/sand etc in the back .

Hard top 110.
Or a hard top 110.
We use hard top 110 and rangers. Rangers dont tow.
And get a hard top van
You know wots bigger than a 90? 110 ht vans.

The jap crew cab pickups are chronically small in the back, no bigger than my 90 van certainly.

We use hilux crew cabs to shift folk ( with the worlds worst external rollcages i might add) and they are terrible navara bed is a similar size. I looked at one to replace my peugeot , now im looking at a disco 2 and trailer.

My old man was looking for 4x4's to replace my 110 on the work fleet and the only vehicle that could legally pull as much as the fender was a land cruiser and they are that bad that they come factory fitted with a second start button
