I went to a show a couple of years ago in Cheshire and the local Plod where there with a new X5, RR P38 from the Heritage Fleet and a 10 year old Defender.
He said the X5 was cheaper, more economical, reliable, faster, more comfortable and economical.
But they keep the Defender for when it gets stuck !

...the x5 is a hell of a good heavy speed tool but off road ...maybe some grass or a gravel track ...thats about it !Yeah. I think if I look at any X5s they will have to be the non M Sport and ideally 18" wheels. Softer ttyres, suspension etcSounds right
