The RAVE manual has a handy section specifically listing the earth points throughout the car, and even has photos to show you most of them. Your problem definately sounds electrically based though, although you don't mention whether it is actually overheating or just showing it on the gauge?

As an aside to the thread.... is it just my PC or is the pic I posted of my knacker water pump not showing all all?? If no-one can see it any suggestions as to how to post it so it shows, as it's in my album??

Yeah! just a bit FUBAR. Are they usually plastic rotors? new one was metal, was it a spec change from original following probs, or a cheapy pattern part?

dont know tbh.i keep a spare pump just in case and the impellars are metal on that one.
