I download it now.
I only have this link from a.member posted in here. Its a free version over a download side. Rsw dosnt offer the free one anymore.

Have been reading this and @tyke100 i feel your pain. But that said please do not change to coils.
I went through this many years ago(Probably 10+) and it took me a while to sort it (without the help you are getting here).
Here is my view on it. I have not had to touch my EAS for along time so am not going to get all technical.

i disconnected the airlines from the compressor box and put the stop valves back on the pipes.
put 46 psi in every single bag to lift the car about 3 cm of the bump stops.

Do you only have the valves?
I have this fitted to the old P38, which was the 1 giving the problems all those years ago. But the kit I had used “T” pieces so it just breaks into each line, this way you can leave everything plugged in. Take out the delay relay and it will just stay up:)
But when you want to play just plug it in. Yes it’s a PITA but it will get you through for a while. Used to also carry a small compressor so could adjust if I loaded the boot:)
Oh and I seem to remember 60ish psi being about normal height (think it’s been mentioned already)

I had a friend coming around with this landrover diagnostic tool yesterday.
It cant even find the car

What diagnostics did he have?

You seem to have a few problems that I see.

1. You are rushing because you have a deadline, never good.
2. Your lead driver, took me a while to work it out but got there.
3. Maybe if your mate couldn’t connect, you still may have a problem with you OBD socket, or wire too.
4. You hate computers :)

So from that take a breath... You have a car that will run on the manual valves. Which gives you breathing space to get this sorted. I did it for probably 6mths, before getting all the stuff together and then it was easy:).(I used to work away 1mth at a time)

So take another breath don’t touch the EAS tomorrow, give it a wash and take it for a drive enjoy the ride:)

I am not going to tell you what you need or what to do the wise “old” members are talking you through this already, and I have long forgotten:eek:.

Follow what they are saying (but don’t rush).

Oh get your OH to teach you how to take a pic on your phone and upload it, pics can say a hell of a lot more than can be described in words when you are unsure what you are doing:).

Thabks. Yes the valves and pump replaced.
I know the pump wasnt working.
I replaced the valves to as they came with it.
I had to empty the tanks as previous owner had stop valves on the pipes.
Stupid me.
Now is on bu.pstops.

I tried on a win 1 laptop. Didnt go anywhere.

The cable is couple years old, so is the adaptor.
Used on win8.
So guess it's to old.for win 10.

Actually I washed the range rover Cleaned it. Gave it a wax and a good polish. Guess it never had it for a couple years.

I fixed the heating / blower / hevac problem it was advertised with.

I put a modern double din stereo in.

All no problems.

I just cant get the software to work on any computer with the cable to read the rx values

My friend bought one of them landrover diagnostic tools.
Brand new.
But we could not even get the diagnostic mashine finding the 1996 range rover. Lol.

So he send an email as he didnt get what he paid for.

As the air system is complete empty now my tyre compressor overheated yesterday . ( Had to order a new one. ) getting the car up to ride hight. So I may just plug my big compressor.in and give the bags about 60 to 70 psi and see if it lifts it up to drive it.

I did allready ask everyone I know for an old laptop with serial port. But around here ... if something is old it gets thrown away.

Friends with modern range rovers just telling me go and let landrover sort it. But they can afford a 2k bill without problems

I have no interest supporting land rover.

To making pics. I'm good at that. But they dont download by copy and paste . It says some.about photobucket.

Never used it and have no idea how it works.
I dont do online storage stuff. Is in my hard drive or a disc.

I'm not so old fashioned but this online storage and stuff - I refrain from it. To many password to remember and.most of that stuff want subscription.

If you have a smart phone take the pictures with that go in to landy zone on the phone, click on the up load file , next to post reply you will get a choose file click on that then browse for the picture then tap the image you want.

You still don’t say what it was and what he brought it for (car) it’s probably not compatible to read the P38.

Still dosnt work showing.me the cable.

So I guess that's the problem.

As your cable came from a member I think it’s fine. It’s probably been used to fix before.

I say again drivers and OBD port.

J

call me old. i cant even find where it says upload files.
Upload files is next to the button to post a reply.
Shame there is not someone near to you either with diagnostics or computer knowledge, I'm sure this could be sorted in an hour or so.

The cable came from Mozz, it's one I made and has been used before. The problem is with the driver for the USB to serial adapter at least I'm pretty sure it is.

vident i think its the machine. some diagnostic tool.
it has the landrover software on it. but from 2006 not from 1996 as he ordered.

unless i rip the obs from the car out and replace it with another one there is nothing else i can do with it.
i checked it and even cleaned it just to make sure.
both sides.

my laptop is 5 weeks old . so i have no idea while he dosnt let me do anything with that cable.

i done everything suggested by datatec regarding how and what to install.

the old notebook didnt even find a page.

the other win 7 dosnt do anything with that cable.

i am sorry but unless its an app or its a program telling my press here and click that i have no idea how to configure stuff on the laptop anymore. if it dosnt work i usual dont bother and leave it alone.
on the xp i was able doing everything. on win 10 - give me an app and it works - is fine. sorry. dont expect me to know how to write a program. i have no idea.

alsp - i dont find the button upload file. so i cant. unless it is somewhere hidden i have no idea where to look for.

Yes I believe that. And I am grateful for the help.
But it seems.my best option is taking the laptop and the cable to who I bought the laptop from and hit it around his head until he get it working for me. Lol.
I been told everything is easy with it.

Yes I can see that.

Sorry. I'm loosing it slowly.

The drivers are on that link I gave you. Program writing is not required but I understand your difficulty with Windows.

I keep hoping that someone on Landy zone who is near to you will pop up and offer help, I'm a bit too far away.

Where it says Comms initialisation failed, you click on OK. Then from the EAS set up top left corner of the screen it will give you a drop down menu from which you can select the comms port.
