i do think the laptop is communicating with the obd and eas on a way. i get pp messages but not what the videos showing reading ff values or anything else.
but i cant put ride values in and dont get any faults.
by checking faults all i get is 0

You MUST have green light and good idle if not it will not work.
 
This is getting rather frustrating is it not.
it is. i been on the internet till 5 this morning and see what everyone done who encountered this problem.
since i have this car i be only on it to get it solved. 10 to 15 hours per day and going nowhere. grrhhh. can you tell my frustration ?
 
He may well pop in as i tagged him to the thread, He may not be able to help but worth a try as hands on help from some one who knows a p38 is a god send,
and once you have sorted out yours and learned its workings you will be helping others with knowledge you have gleamed:D
The Eas is not complicated once you get your head round the system.

oh i can help by the hevoc systems and none working blowers for sure.
plus radio issues and other stuff i learned by now. lol.
also keyproblems do an extend. lol

for sure once i figure this problem out and know how to solve that i ask land rover for a job with first class knowledge. but until then im jumping up and down next to the car refraining myself from holding a hammer.

ha ha. i am not sure if anything can be worth.

right i checked all the connections in the car. cleaned and used electrical spray and all is fine.
i connected the laptop back.
nothing. only getting pp readings on the rx side.
checking the driver and cable on the device manager it came up again with error and not working properly.
i downloaded a usb to rs232 serial driver which dosnt do anything.

( i see another laptop going under the hammer - sorry im not good with that. i do click an app and work, or even telling me the easy way how to get it working.
buts bites and computer talk dosnt work for me.

so the other half has a look later.she know more about this pc stuff. i just use them.

while i am on the car.

i disconnected the airlines from the compressor box and put the stop valves back on the pipes.
put 46 psi in every single bag to lift the car about 3 cm of the bump stops.

i removed the relay from the fusebox in the engine bay.
( the delay relay works )
so it is in the same condition as i bought it.

NO error messages on the dash. no beeping.
i drove around the block exceed to 45 without problems.

[ease ... someone share some light in this puzzle. lol

im sure the eas should tell me its not working as the pump is disconnected?

Sounds like you have the wrong USB-Serial driver loaded.

In device manager, open the Com-Port Properties, and select the "details" tab. Then select the "Hardware ID" property, and either copy the entire string, or take a screenshot & post it here. Then we can look to see what driver you actually need.

The hardware ID should look something like this:

If it looks like this one, then you have a cheapo Chinese USB-serial adaptor.

His USB adapter is OK as it worked for Mozz, I'm sure he has just got a generic Windows driver loaded which will not work.

no. same as before . only pp.
i try to see if the other half can get a usb to rs232 driver downloaded and use it for the com 3 where the cable works with later.

i even had the wireloom out from the ecu s under the seat without disconnecting. nothing cut or bodged.
 
That's why I'm on here,struggling with internet connection, the world and his wife must be on tonight, fecking mobile conection.

This is what we use 3G sits in front room signal as far as bottom of garden ...unlimited download...even works when we take it with us over the border in Spain...
 
I think we need to get back to square one and find out precisely which relays are in and which are out and which pipes are in and which are out and exactly what the software is showing. A pic would be good.
