to busy playing World of Tanks!!

yeah so, the remote wont unlock/lock the car so I sent it away and tbh it came back with new case/batteries/holder etc as expected.

I still have the original owners book with the security code and went through that process and it now starts the car...but it still wont unlock/lock. (I installed the 3rd generation RF receiver a few years ago)

As I still have two keys I'm ok but would be nice to get both working.

any ideas?

Mine is a 99, putting the key into the drivers door and turning to lock with the lock button pressed and the unlock with the unlock button pressed.
Not so sure about previous or later.

Syncing older cars is a case of putting key in lock, press unlock button then turn to unlock; press lock button and then turn to lock. You might have to repeat a few times.

If the microswitches on the lock actuator are playing up it won't work as it won't know the key is being turned. This is serious because you also won't be able to put the EKA in without diag.

Or maybe it is just the motors in the actuator that have burnt out? Bit odd for all to fail at once.

again, another update..

I have a memory that if any of the door locks are faulty then the remote wont sync?

Only drivers door and depends on year. Later ones sync in the ignition.
