No, if its a Range Rover the 3.5 was “flapper” the 3.9 “hot wire”.Hi all does anyone know if the 3.5 air flow sensor is the same as the 3.9?

I think at this rate I'll wing it and see if it works since I'm unable to source a specific 3.5 replacement, will be for a discovery not range roverNo, if its a Range Rover the 3.5 was “flapper” the 3.9 “hot wire”.
For a D1, all EFIs were hot wire. but the 3.5 air flow sensor had a different part number to the 3.9 and then there was two part number changes to follow the last one being mid 1995.
So for the D1 possibly not.![]()
You may or not be lucky, some times a superseded part number can mean just the part now has a different means of attachment.I think at this rate I'll wing it and see if it works since I'm unable to source a specific 3.5 replacement, will be for a discovery not range rover
Figured as much, cheers for your helpYou may or not be lucky, some times a superseded part number can mean just the part now has a different means of attachment.
I expect it would be difficult to find what the differences were if any, even with the aid of Google.
