Wouldn't touch Adrian flux again with a barge pole.

I used to swear by them and used to recommend them on here (sorry!) but I once had to cancel my policy about 6 months in due to selling my Landy and I didn't get a single penny refunded to me despite not making any claims with them! Reality is that they're just a broker. Complaints often get you nowhere with them because they're limited by the insurance companies they actually deal with. Which begs the question - why would you knowingly deal with a middleman?

They also have **** poor opening hours making it difficult to contact them if you have a 9-5:30 job. Yeah sure, they're open on Saturday's but that's not much help if you need to talk to them on a Tuesday after work, is it?

Adrian Flux may have served a genuine purpose back in the day before the likes of gocompare.com & confused.com. Now there isn't really a place or need for insurance brokers like them and I don't know why they still exist. They should do everyone a favour and just close their doors. Until then, stay clear.

Many thanks to Jack who took my call, good cover and a very pleasant surprise on the price given the job I do :)

Adrian flux could not beat my insurance renewal unless I unprotected my no claims and switched to classic car insurance. I said no as I've built up my ncb and don't want to risk lossing them

Flux have done me well with my Disco and have now insured my cabriolet with all mods covered for less than my previous insurers renewal.
Now granted both cars are on limited mileage polices but for me thats fine so works out at great savings.

I have to be honest and say when I had an accident two years ago Flux were brilliant. They arranaged everything for me and even had a brand new Audo A4 SLine for me to play with for over a week. The car was collected and brought back (valeted) and all repairs were spot on. The only downside was the legal firm they used for the injury claim. It took them 6 months to get it sorted.

The amount of time taken for the injury claim is a good thing not a bad thing. Many panel firms used by insurance companies will rush it through. If the was any long term injuries that developed its tough luck cos you would have already settled. It sounds like they held back long enough to ensure you were correctly compensated.

Quick question about the breakdown cover.

If I breakdown, say 100 miles from my home, would you agent tow me home? I wouldn't want to get a tow to the nearest garage as that is nowhere near my house. I would prefer to get a tow home and then fix it myself/make my own arrangements.

Is that how it works?

What if the nearest garage is shut?

Hello,

Yes if you would prefer not to go to a garage, then you can specify a single place to tow the vehicle.

Thanks

arrrr, finger nails diapperaing , current policy with adrian flux runs out 31st/3/2014, havent had my renewal yet can you run a qoute for me

Has to be said .. great price!!

Just renewed my insurance, AF were about £40 less than everywhere else and considerably more than my renewal policy with my current insurers. That's for an agreed value of the Defender, all the additions like winch, snorkel, suspension etc and all at like-for-like but I don't intend claiming on it ..

The guy on the phone seemd knowledgable and happy to talk mods .. unlike most places who can't understand that lengthening springs is good .. ;)

Happy so far .. ;)

Ok flux what is going on when you first got on here, well not very good, lots of issues.

Then we got ED on here and had wonderful service and results, ED left and then we Got Jordan again the ball was dropped, This time we Don't even know who the hell we are talking to. What is it, you to damn embarrassed to give a name?

think ill be leave AF for good, still had no reply to my pm, and just recieved an automatic renewal from carl, with a 30% increase on last years policy even though my record is clean as a whistle, what is going on ive used AF for a number of years now, not impressed

Won't be going with AF again. 30 in a few weeks and they quoted £1000 to insure a 14 year old freelander. Got my series insured with them for a good price, no doubt that will increase ridiculously!
