Looks lovely  I'm hoping to be getting close to 200bhp out of the 3.5 flapper efi in my classic, I'm sure that you could achieve that sort of power from your system, maybe talk to megasquirt and see what they say. They also do a very easy system to replace the 4.6 electronics, my friend is running it on his safari comp which is 4.8 and around the 300bhp mark :)

Whats your plans for a 200bhp 3.5 stutab? Plan on using the flapper efi for 200bhp as well???

200bhp from a 3.5 is doable. 200bhp from a 3.9 is even easier!

Spill the beans! :D

As for running thor/gems. You could dump that and run hotwire (albeit chiped) or just fit the hotwire bits and run megasquirt as stutab said.

From the same friend who has the safari comp gave me a remapped ecu (yes it is possible for a flapper) from Tornado Motor Sport and a air flow meter from a Jag. The two have been told to play nicely and with a good 3.5 should give me 200bhp

I've heard of the 'adjustable fueling' flapper ECUs but not a remapped one... interesting!

You'll have to put it on a dyno and get it measured. ;)

I plan to, I am tempted to fit it to the CCV trialer I'm building, 1.2-1.6 ton and 200bhp, what could go wrong

I believe that the flapper system is all resistors relays and switches and some of them have been charged so it does things at different times. And the 9th injector has been disabled. I don't understand it and if it works then fantastic :)

Flapper EFI is ridiculously simple, just looking at the circuit diagram for the wiring loom I get a fuzzy feeling and appreciate how simple it is. I would like to get hold of a circuit diagram and pin outs for the ICs that are on the PCBs in the ECU casing to understand it more.

The 9th injector circuit might as well no go near the ECU, it uses the cranking signal and the thermotime switch so the ECU never actually does anything. You can remove the wires from the loom and not upset anything so I suspect that's what is the case with yours.

Is THIS answer enough!?

Wow what a piece of art

I read the answers wrong. I voted for what I thought said 'No fecking way am I buying a diesel, are you mad' instead I realise I've voted for the horrible 'No fecking way, why would I buy a proper engine when I can have a diesel instead'

Doh!

hi comp ratio i hope, or wasting one's time..plus new cam, headers etc..

It's not a 10.5 but RRC hi comp at (please correct me if I'm wrong) is 9.75
The 9.75:1 CR engines were in SD1s. The RRC high CR is 9.35:1, with low CR being 8.13:1. You can check your engine, itll be stamped with the engine number that's found where the oil dip stick enters the block.

I just fail to see how fitting a modified flapper ECU and a jag air flow meter (allowing for more air flow yes...) can just give you 35hp without any physical engine modifications like zen mentioned!
