chassis, steering and suspension will all be original which means I keep my tax exemption points wise

Nah £290 :) not bad really. Blower was refurbed by UK blowers and then never fitted as the guy went down a different route

Series wasn't exactly great when I got it tbh, lot of bodges! It'll still look like one anyway jut one on some serious roids ;) :D

Hi, love v8s too, get my v8 kicks in this, my 58 morris minor, had a v8 init for about 28 years, going 3.9 this year and also got the use of my mates v8 cobra. The gearbox has broke in swb s2 this week so may v8 4speed zf it.

Six RR V8s plus a four year affair with a Lexus LS. Suppose I might be...

But I have a one cylinder, 49cc 2-stroke van, so that shows I can stop any time I like!

Just dumped the centre box in favour of a stainless straight replacement.

Now i get that nice V8 growl when you stomp on the loud pedal

So I have 3 V8's, all 3.5 2 are EFI 1 is carb, I am rebuilding the Rangy then going to build a CCV Triler. That takes care of 2, the 3rd I will do a full rebuild on, teach myself how to, and have a spare on the shelf

Yep. Went to see it yesterday. Needs passenger sill and drivers A pillar welding. New fuel line and maybe new front springs and shocks. The tax and insurance will be more than the cost of making it 100%

recovering addict, sold my 5.9 magnum dodge ram and daily driver duty's have been taken up by a td5 disco. Still have this in the garage awaiting completion not a land rover but its heart was donated by one.

nothing to exciting at the moment just a good 3.5 with hotwire efi once its fully on the road will be looking to build a 'hotter' 3.9 providing the rest of the conversion holds up! so far only had it up the road(private track  ) a couple of times seems to go pretty well 950kg + short gearing + lsd + v8 torque = thick black 11's and plenty of :D :D :D

Sounds epic! :D

Got any video of it running? We likes the noise. ;)

Not tempted to go straight to 4.6? Or are you looking at keeping it sensible with just a nice 3.9?

no videos yet but as soon as the td5 is fully sorted will be getting back to working on this will have to get some then. it has a bit of a strange exhaust set up duel pipes with no balance section and the main straights are square stainless to save space under the floor pan gives it a really raspy aggressive note.
I did think about going to a 4.6 but was put off by having to use gems or thor as I wanted efi. I just don't know enough about the systems to get it working standalone. in hindsight I would have just stuck a nice big weber on a 4.6 block and been done with it would have been a lot easier but wheres the fun in that :) and I think even a relatively mild 3.9 pushing 200-220 will be a big ask for the diff just have to see how it goes.
