I have seen e bay hubs which fitted perfectly, but had the wrong number of teeth on the reluctor ring - caused some very strange faults with the TC coming on at 60mph...

:frusty::frusty:.... so that's the explanation then:mad: could'nt figure out why i've got much different voltage readings between front and rear axle with nanocom above 30mph on a friend's car although the resistance of sensors was only 14 -22 ohm different...he replaced both front hubs with some cheap ebay ones... i put it on the air gap as the rears were the same age like replaced fronts but he didnt replace all 4 cos there was no play in the rear ones... so blaming the rear ones i recommended him to replace them both aswell and he did with the same cheap ones and everything came back to normal... except the fact that there's a bigger error in the speedo reading.

somebody shoot those guys who are selling such hubs

Caught me out for a while,I was doing it for another garage who are known for buying cheap parts to maximise profit.... Found it in the end by scoping one front and one rear at the same time - very obvious that there was a large difference in frequency, the poor SLABS ecu thought it had wheelspin at 60mph !
They were from Ebay, I have no idea what make/supplier they were, all I was told after was that the seller insisted there was nothing wrong with them and the car was at fault. My scope does not tell lies, thats the nice thing about a scope,it shows EXACTLY whats going on.

mine neither:) ... especially that happened to me the same thing as i said ..starting from 30mph, just that i was reading the outputs with nanocom cos it's easyer to compare them... i'm sure now that you shed light on this that this thing can happen ONLY if the hub has different number of teeth or if the reluctor ring has a different diameter inside
