nice tool box ;) landys looking pretty tidy as well :D
This :D
Yes 'tis nice indeed. If I had the room I'd like the bottom piece anorl.
And yeah landys all but done now but it'll stay in the garage until I can afford to tax test and insure it.

TOO HOT!!! Had a fire on here today:(.
Glad to see a wet floor, good tip to pass on.

Yep to hot :p To be honest I don't like hot weather.
Wetting the floor seems to work well ;) because there no chance of getting all the dust out the garage.

Went and picked some sills up this morning. So that's another missing piece of the jigsaw found. But before I get to them.
Here's a couple of pics of the roof from yesterday. Which If I'm completely honest with myself hasn't come out the best :(

And prepped. Have also got them primed and painted but they're not fully dry yet so I might get some of them later :)

yes I've got a blue on at work nice box but can't justify one for the garage mines full one dents and covered in dust and overspray

roof doesn't look too bad matey black is renowned as being difficult to spray well

Yep. I wasn't really looking for a new box but this came up at the right money so thought f*ck it might as well :D Bit different for me as all my stuff is kept at home. But if I did work in a garage or the like I'd just have a little 'en for home (Like I used to do)
Know what you mean about the overspray as well, The bloody stuff gets everywhere even though I cover everything up.
Speaking of which, The 90 has got a some on it. Suppose that's the problem with it being parked 1 foot from the garage door when I'm painting :(

Yeah I've heard black is hard to spray but I'm convinced it was to hot and could have done with some slower thinners. I've sprayed a fair few things black and this seems worse than usual.
If it f*cks me off I'll do it again at a later date.

Blacks a real bad colour for showing anything up. I am a kitchen fitter by trade and black worktops are the worse.

Presumably your gazeebo has sides? My mrs suggested painting in the family tent inner, when I was complaining of having no space in the garage. I thought that was a bloody good idea!

Fair comment. Going to leave it for now anyway :)

Yep it's got sides. I bought it specifically to paint in.
Painted my brothers 90 in it, Then my old 90 and then the neighbours complained.
So that's the reasoning I've done this one in the garage as it's a darn sight more air tight if you like than the gazebo. And yet they have still complained. Don't know why I bother trying some times :(

To be honest I much prefer painting in the gazebo as it's much lighter so I can see more of what I'm doing and there's no dust like there is in the garage.

So they are complaining about the smell of the paint, not the noise from the compressor?

So they are complaining about the smell of the paint, not the noise from the compressor?

Yep, Although they have had ago last year about the noise  Which to be fair I think I'm reasonable, The earliest I start is about 10ish and usually back inside for 6.
Thing is it's next door but 1 that make all the complaints the neighbours either side aren't bothered.

Bugger them, your never going to eachothers garden parties so spray away. By the time they whine to the council your paint will be dry and they will still be dicks.

Yeah they sound like a total bunch of arses, tell them you've given up landrovers and have joined a cult and want to talk to them about God, then call around at all times of the day for deep discussions about their souls, you might find they don't mind the painting as much then, or....................you could just tell them to FECK RIGHT OFF!
Can you get a brief letter from both your immediate neighbours saying they don't have a problem?

Continue to rise above it, mate. Don't lower yourself to the same miserable level - tempting though it may be :)

Paint question

Following paint threads I've narrowed my paint code to two possibles. Any idea what the (FL) means?

CAQ Rioja Red Mic 2ct 96-99 LRC.601
CAQ Rioja Red Mic 2ct 96-99 LRC.601(FL)

Yeah I agree, Last time they complained was last bank holiday.
He said "You'll be sorry" and stormed off.
Never heard anything. So possibly just trying to scare me

+1

Also stop trying to be nice, tell them to F**k

I'm just too nice :D Trying to kill them with paint fumes
If it was my house I wouldn't go as far as I have to "Try" and keep them happy.

 I'll just keep going as I am, It's what keeps me happy as the last few days have proven as I've felt lost doing nothing. Sad I know but it's all I have.
Probably just idle threats anyway hoping I'm just going to stop and become the perfect neighbour.
Told me last year I should take it to a garage :doh:

I try to ignore it mate, I could easily tell them to f*ck off but for everyones sake I don't. I've got to at least keep it civil.

Erm paint question, I've got no idea what (FL) means

I googled the (FL) before posting, but couldn't find anything. I'll keep surfing unless someone in the know on here tells me first.

Bought some Rustoleum on your recommendation and have been brush painting my powersteering box and rear shock mounts. Results look great!

Been cleaning the axles, which is taking some doing as they have a canny bit of waxoyle on them. Was using Gunk engine degreaser, but decided to try the panel wipe on them. BINGO! The waxoyle stood no chance :D
Latex gloves fell apart too
Hope to get the axles painted with Rustoleum at the weekend.

Chin up matey, it'll all come together sooner than you think. :)

Hmmm, Maybe, But the fact I may have bought another project has nothing to do with that

Yep, 'tis good stuff, Are you just using it direct like I did?

Oh and yeah panel wipe softens the waxoyl. Thinners does a good job anorl. But it's harsh on your hands.
Don't forget the pic's when they're done :D
