If it is a mechanical fault then the box will have to come out. Whilst its out I would overhaul or replace the clutch release mechanism along with the plate etc. If it's the hydraulic cylinders that are at fault best to replace rather than use a service kit. I prefer to replace mine.
The slave cyl on a 2a is within a fabricated bracket on the drivers side of the bell housing. Check if the pedal is wet, this will indicate master cylinder failure.

Hello,
I need help. My Dad and me own a 1969 series 2a Landy. The other week it acquired bad miss fire. We replaced all the spark plugs, leads, points, distributor cap, condenser and coil lead. We also checked the tappets and they were in order.
Did you put the spark plug leads on in the correct order?

Thanks for your reply.
The engine is now running sweet as a nut.:D
How we fixed it is in previous replies.
The next project is the removal of the track rods and setting them up. Also along with a hole that needs welding up then it is time to face the dreaded M.O.T man!!!!
