Hi Mozz,

Sometimes the lights don't flash. I'm reading this thread as it's going & there's been nothing that anyone has missed.

On applying the EKA code, it's completely different to the discovery. Stick to the range rover method, 4 turns to lock before applying the code, then the after the last digit, turn the key & unlock the car.
If the rear doors superlocked themselves while you was trying the EKA method, the car has gone to a superlocked alarm state. A door lock burning out could of caused this originaly, or going into more detail, the circuit inside the becm gets tired & worn out due to age, use etc, especially in becm's over 10 years old, so this circuit isn't as precise as it should be resulting in the door lock relays being activated for a few milliseconds longer, & it's this what causes the door lock to burn out. When the door locks burn out due to the RF receiver, the becm shoots a quick shot of 15v to the locks killing them. I do a lot of key only operation conversions now.

So where do I go from here rick? :( whats the cheapest/quickest method of getting this damn car starting again lol.

Cheers bud

Also, just got key code lockout, does that mean it is receiving the attempt at entering the eka code?

aye, but i mean does that mean it's accepting my key turns/attempt at entering the eka? it's now flashing the side lamps once for every key turn, but the eka given to me by the landrover garage is not working or something else is wrong, ie door lock / becm??

i'm lost now :(

hi , where are you based ???????? ive seen your p.m. so no probs ok , but you need to fully charge car battery before you ring me also don't fit it till you ring me !!!!!!! also does the fob lights work when u use the pressels ?????????? and how many fobs have you got ???? ok matey I don't get up early as im retired so after 10.am is good as im home all time most days ..ok cheers speak tomorrow ,,,MOZZ :):)

Aviemore :)

Don't have means to charge the battery myself, so will pop it in the local garage tomorrow, might be wednesday afternoon before I get it back and can call you.

The fob lights work. I've actually had this engine immobilised message before but simply unlocking with the fob cleared it.

Only got 1 fob.

Cheers mate.

If you try the EKA code and fail three times it will disable EKA entry and you will get key code lockout and have to wait 30 mins before trying again. Only do it twice, if you fail, open and close the drivers door for two more tries. Keep doing this and you won't get key code lock out.
