You won the lottery? Anything is possible but expect a big bill to test all ECU's.Is it possible to send ALL the ECUs someplace for them to be inspected and or repaired??
For the srs connections, cut the plugs off and solder/butt connect them together. The pins and sleeves are so tiny that any trace of crap or corrosion will affect the resistance values. Just been through this on a client's p38. All the plugs were removed and 4 faults terminatedChequered history? A bit of 'fiddling'??
Went on the Gov website to check on MOT history etc.
Its been off the road for many years, but for its last 3 it failed on ABS, SRS, & a wheel nut missing off each wheel!!
Now here's the 'iffy' bit, there was a PASS a few hours later the same day at a different test station!!
This happened for the last 3 years it was on the road, the wheel nuts, well probably someone want locking nuts for another car, but what the hell was done to make it pass???
Also, when I finally got it running, the message centre informs, SRS, ABS airbag fault along with Traction fault, EAS, AND it still had 4 wheel nuts missing!!
I've sorted the wheel nuts!
So I think I bought the car with the very same problems it had for the last 3 or so years it was on the road.
ALL connectors have been cleaned/sprayed with contact cleaner, ( they were very good anyway )
ALL sensors have been removed & they were also like new, pulled out very easily.
ALL bulbs in dash have also been renewed.
Is there a way I can somehow test the sensors? as I haven't yet managed to get my Rovacom to talk to any of the ECUs except the BeCM!!
The P38 always has to exceed 7kph to extinguish the ABS light from start up.Hi, not sure if the same applies to P38's but on D2's you can't turn ABS lights off with diagnostics. Once the fault has been 'corrected' it has to be driven a certain distance/speed & if the fault(s) aren't present the check system will extinguish the light(s). Please feel free to tell me too keep me nose out .

Disconnect the battery, wait 10 minutes and you can work on the connectors. I think I WILL do the above, at least that will be one potential problem out of the way.
I know of 2, one by each seat base, are there any others?
Another next the the steering column for the steering wheel bag.One beneath each seat for the seat airbag and the two beneath the side step plastics, one each side. Also inside the glove box is the dashboard airbag plug.

Been on the Blackbox site & cant find any Rovacom-lite modules, so, does the Nanocom do everything my Rovacom did?
